2021, Here’s to You

Happy Holidays from our Family to yours.

We want to thank all our new followers and thank you to all the family that supports us and the way we choose to live. We thought we would take the time to thank all of you for following, liking, and sharing our content.

It means the world to us, and we appreciate it.

Here is a little Christmas recap of what we have been up to this past year.

2021…. You were great.

  • We moved across the country to good ol’ Florida. This was the longest, journey we had ever gone on as a couple, as newlyweds, and in the Airstream. We had a lot of first this year, as we got married in September of 2020, so everything we did this year as a newly married couple was that much more special.

  • With a heavy heart, we had to say goodbye to our furbaby Bandit. She was 18 years old, and one hell of a pup. We love and miss her so much.

  • We went through 9 different states. Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and finally landed in Florida.

  • Stayed at 5 different KOA parks along the way. We bought the KOA membership and it paid for itself this trip alone.

  • We stayed in Oklahoma City for a few days and got to go to the OKC Zoo. (My favorite from the trip. I got plants from their garden and go to the zoo). I also got to try Rudy’s BBQ for the first time.

  • I for the first time in my life got to go to an actual Beach. It was so much fun, and I can see the appeal. I think I might be hooked on swimming a lot more now that we are in Florida.

  • Chris and I went to a local Florida distillery called NJoy Spirits. The makers of Wild Buck Whiskey.

  • Furgus adjusted so well to the Airstream life, making the main back window his domain. He rules with an iron fist. Demanding cuddles and kisses every chance he got. People watching and bird watching are his two favorite past times.

  • I got more into streaming and playing Sims 4 and fell in love with my favorite game this year: The Long Dark

  • Furgus and I have been making so many more TikTok. I have been on the app since it was Musically, but it has become so big now that it is just addicting to be on.

  • We got 200 followers on Instagram and are so stoked that many people like us! It is a huge accomplishment for us and we appreciate all the love.

  • Chris and I got to help clean up a Veteran cemetery, that day was one filled with tears, humility, and respect.

  • We had to change the old 1978 AC out and replace it with a Domestic Penguin II. The old one crapped the bed in what seemed like the hottest part of Summer for Florida. The inside of the airstream even with all windows open and one side shaded for most of the afternoons, was still in the high 80’s. It only took about two days of work, simply because of having to work and it gets dark.

  • Chris and I celebrated our 1st year of marriage on September 19, 2021. (yay!)

We have been slowly trying to explore Florida, so we have gone to a few different places and restaurants. Florida will definitely never be completely explored, but we hope our 2022 is filled with a lot more hikes and adventure.

There was a lot in 2021, but it was good for us.

Here’s to 2022, we hope you’re as good if not better.

Happy Holidays,

The Whittens
